Vuzix Now Offers Blade Smartglasses in a New Safety Glasses Rated Version
Vuzix, a leading supplier of Smartglasses and Augmented Reality (AR) products, introduced Vuzix Blade Smartglasses – Safety Certified for enterprise for US$999. The new Vuzix Blade Smart Glasses (Safety Certified) are certified impact resistant meeting both ANSI Z87.1 and CE EN166 safety standards. The glasses are now available for purchase from the Vuzix US and EU websites.

The global safety glasses market totaled $2.3 billion USD in 2018 and is expected to grow to $3.0 billion USD by 2025, indicating the strong demand for eye protection devices within enterprises and industry, according to Gran View Research. With the introduction of the Vuzix Blade Smart Glasses Safety Certified model, users can now wear eye protection and enjoy the power and convenience of smart glasses, Vuzix said in a press release.
Separately, the Vuzix Blade 'Dads and Grads Summer Spree' program that was announced over the summer around a series of consumer-friendly applications was a great success and has come to an end. The Vuzix Blade (non-safety certified) is now priced at $799 USD effective immediately.
