Volker is the business development manager for wearables at Lohmann GmbH & Co.KG. At Lohmann, he is part of an international team of technology and business-related functions. Volker has a background in mechanical & business engineering and holds a Dr. degree in mechanical engineering. He has been responsible in building up interdisciplinary teams to develop industrial production technologies for wearables and smart textiles.
He has a strong passion for medical wearables and is driven by the need for large-volume manufacturing of these products coming from an increasing demand of our society for digitally supported health. His vision is about an efficient combination of advanced materials, functional product development and highly efficient manufacturing. To achieve this he believes in strong partnerships and collaboration.
