

Sam Kellett, Jr. is a visionary entrepreneur and the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aware Custom Biometric Wearables, Aware Defense, and Second Bend Labs. With more than 25 patents and a proven record of pioneering biometric innovation, Sam is redefining how the human ear can serve as a platform for health, safety, and performance. As the co-creator of the world’s first custom biometric hearable and the FDA-cleared eFit 3D ear scanner, Sam developed and scaled 3D ear scanning as a service—launching the next generation of custom-fit hearing protection, in-ear monitors, and biometric devices. Under his leadership, Aware created the most optimal custom-fit hearing protection solution on the market and being deployed it in large-scale programs across the U.S. Department of Defense. Sam also founded United Sciences, where he led the development of Aeroscan, a patented precision 3D measurement platform with micron-level accuracy used in the aerospace, medical, and industrial sectors. Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Sam serves on the Advisory Board for the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology and was appointed by the Governor of Georgia to the Jekyll Island Authority Board and the Public Schools Retirement Pension Board. He holds a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and an MBA from the University of Georgia.
