Peter Düking (Jun.-Prof. Dr.)

Prof. Dr. Peter Düking holds a Junior Professorship in Exercise and Training Science and serves as Deputy Head of the Institute for Sport Science at the Technical University of Braunschweig. His research focuses on the acute and chronic physiological adaptations to exercise, with the overarching goal of optimizing training interventions for both health promotion and athletic performance. He evaluates and integrates advanced technologies (such as wearables and forms of artificial intelligence) into his research to develop individualized, evidence-based training strategies. Prof. Düking collaborates with national and international stakeholders from academia, sports practice and industry. His scientific contributions are published in high-impact scientific journals. Prof. Düking is actively involved in the broader sports science community. He is a member of the German Association of Sport Science, the Sports Technology Research Network, and the Wearable Technologies Special Interest Group of the European College of Sport Science. He is a scientific advisor to start-ups at the intersection of technology and exercise science. He is founder and editor of www.scienceaboutsportstech.com, an initiative aiming to translate evidence-based information into sports practice.
