Luca Fontanella started working for STMicroelectronica in 1995 as a silicon designer for quasi-resonant switched mode power supplies for which he owns some 25 international patents.

In 2000 he was given the opportunity to be the first marketer of the ST MEMS team which was starting to have draft products and some potential customers.

He grew his marketing expertise together with the MEMS team which became a solid reality in few years, being one of the most important MEMS sensor manufacturers of the world.

Today he focuses on mass market strategies and communication, since, thanks to the different social networks, the marketing communication has become a B2C approach also for traditional B2B companies like STMicroelectronics.
