Based on her thesis at EPFL, Lara co-founded Virtuosis AI, a pioneering company in voice biomarkers. With just a 30-second voice recording, Virtuosis AI’s clinically validated models can assess up to 25 mental, cognitive, respiratory, and cardio-metabolic conditions.  A former professional athlete and daughter of two engineers, Lara is committed to building AI that is fair, explainable, and responsible, to improve society’s health.  Among several recognitions, Virtuosis AI was named Startup of the Year 2023 by Microsoft, and Lara was honored by French President Emmanuel Macron as one of the top 100 French AI talents.
