LaKisha Greenwade is a global innovation leader best known as the Founder and CEO of Wearable Tech Ventures, an ecosystem dedicated to the development and promotion of wearable technology with a focus on nontraditional founders. She leads the charge to invest in 100 wearable startups by 2030 and has grown the Baltimore- based organization to representation in 6 continents. She is also the host of the Wearable Takeover Podcast, board advisor, and coach for founders & leaders.
LaKisha brings extensive experience at the intersection of innovation, healthcare and emerging technology.

Her career includes prior work at the Department of War (DOW) and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of the Secretary, as well as serving as the Director of Innovation for a prominent Maryland based DOW contractor, where she helped usher new technologies and innovative solutions from concept toward implementation.

U.S. government agencies and large corporations rely on her expertise in artificial intelligence for product development and ethics considerations. In 2026, she will host an AI Bootcamp with the Mark Cuban Foundation for teens, introducing them to wearables. In 2022 and 2024, Wearable Tech Ventures hosted the world’s largest wearables hackathon and LaKisha curated Maryland's inaugural Wearable Tech expo and FashTech show in 2016.

Her accolades include Innovator of the Year, Smithsonian Designing the Future Honoree, CES Wearables Program Speaker, Maryland Leading Women honoree, NIH Director’s Award, National Women in STEM honoree, SXSW Speaker, 2x 40 under 40 Leader, and author.
