Jacob Babcock is the Founder and CEO of NuCurrent, a Chicago-based wireless power technology company enabling the next generation of smart glasses, AR/VR devices, and AI wearables. For more than 17 years, he has led the development and commercialization of wireless power solutions that help eliminate charging ports and design constraints, giving product teams greater freedom to build thinner, more reliable, and more scalable wearable devices.

Under his leadership, NuCurrent has built a portfolio of more than 450 patents and brought wireless power innovations into high-volume commercial products across consumer, enterprise, and medical markets.

Mr. Babcock serves on the boards of the NFC Forum and mHUB, the Midwest's leadinghard-tech innovation center. He has testified before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee on innovation policy and at the World Intellectual Property Organization, and is a named inventor on more than 30 patents. He holds a JD from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a BA from Indiana University.
