I am Dr Iyappan Gunasekaran, an Associate Research Scientist at the Hong Kong Centre for Cerebro‑cardiovascular Health Engineering (COCHE), HK. I specialise in developing innovative technologies for real-time tracking of vital signs and health parameters; improving the accuracy, usability, and integration of wearable devices for continuous healthcare monitoring; and applying computer vision and machine learning, with experience spanning high‑precision image segmentation, edge‑device optimisation, and sequential data modelling using various sensors for healthcare applications. I hold a PhD in Technology from Anna University, Chennai, India.
