After earning a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Catania (Italy) in 2001, Filippo spent five years specializing in digital IC design. He then joined STMicroelectronics as a Field Application Engineer, focusing on microcontroller and connectivity solutions, for more than eight years.

Filippo is currently the Technical Marketing Manager for the System Research & Applications group. He is responsible for overseeing solutions in Industrial IoT (IIoT), Smart Cities, Home & Building Automation, Smart Agriculture, and Asset Tracking. Filippo is an expert in wired and wireless connectivity, technology and communication protocols, ARM Cortex MCUs and MPUs, as well as MEMS and sensors for IIoT solutions.
