Fabian Chan is the Managing Director and the Head of Global Markets, Asia Pacific and Branch Manager, Shanghai Branch for Banco Santander. He is responsible for all Markets activities for the bank in Asia Pacific region. His team is responsible for offering treasury solutions to both FI and corporate clients in China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Korea. Also supporting the group to manage the trading activities and funding requirements arise from client related activities in Asia.

Previously, Fabian joined SCB in 2005 and his last role was the North East Asia Global Markets Sales Head based in Hong Kong managing over 150 Global Markets professionals covering China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Japan. During his SCB appointment, he was the Head of Global Markets Sales of China based in Shanghai during 2008-2012. Prior to SCB, he was heading the Global Markets Sales Corporate team with HSBC Hong Kong for over 10 years. Before that, Fabian worked for both CIBC Woody Gundy and Toronto Dominion Bank in Canada as Markets Analyst for 3 years.

Fabian graduated from University of Toronto with B. Commerce and had MBA and Master of Financial Engineering in HKUST.
