Evelien Touriany is Honorary Secretary of the European Wound Management Association and Wound Management Coordinator at Queen Astrid Military Hospital in Brussels, Belgium. Since 2004 she has worked across burn care and complex wound care at the hospital, serving as Head Nurse of its Center for Complex Wounds since 2007 and coordinating wound management across the hospital since 2012. She was Vice-President of Wondzorg.net, the Belgian wound management association from 2017 to 2025, and has lectured on wound care and tissue repair at postgraduate level since 2008. Within the European Wound Management Association, she has contributed to the Education Committee, the Patient Liaison Group and projects on war wounds and rehabilitation and co-authored its document on the impact of patient health and lifestyle factors on wound healing.
