Ph.D. Juthamard Suraphongchai

Dr. Juthamard Surapongchai is a lecturer at the Faculty of Physical Therapy, Mahidol University, Thailand. Juthamard earned her bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Physical therapy and received her Ph.D. in Exercise Science from Mahidol University. She was awarded the Royal Golden Jubilee (RGJ) Ph.D. Scholarship from the Thailand Research Fund. The funding from RG Jin 2017 allows Dr. Surapongchai to be a research fellow at the National University of Singapore. Dr. Juthamard worked as Thailand GSSI (Gatorade sports science institute) advisor since 2018. This team collected and analyzed the sweat data of recreational runners in tropical climates, as well as enhanced the knowledge of heat illness and appropriate fluid replacement for improved exercise performance. Since 2021, Mahidol University sign an MOU with Global Healthcare PTELTD, Singapore to conduct the MU Cooling study and she was a principal investigator. Her research interest is fluid replacement, exercise physiology, and thermal physiology.
