Juha Virtanen is Principal Engineer at GE HealthCare. His primary interest is wearable sensors for monitoring the vital signs of hospitalized patients. Juha received his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the Helsinki University of Technology in the late 90s. His experience is mostly in biomedical instrumentation, including magnetic resonance imaging, transcranial magnetic stimulation, and various physiological measurements. During the years, he has also learned something about brain research, human physiology, IC design, and haptic feedback.
