Jonas is a seasoned expert in photonics integrated circuits and holography, with a solid foundation stemming from his PhD in Quantum Optics obtained at the Vienna Center for Quantum Science and Technology in 2018. Notably, he is the main author of VitreaLab’s first patent. Jonas has honed his expertise in the waveguides sector through collaborations with esteemed integrated-optics groups such as MIT, Istituto di Fotonica e Nanotecnologie, and Universität Rostock. He is the co-author of three peer-reviewed publications.

In his role as founder and CEO of VitreaLab, Jonas assumes responsibility for forging strategic partnerships within the display industry and steering the company toward the leadership for ultra bright, high quality light engines.
