Benno Ritter is a seasoned Business Development and Sales professional who currently leads the Marketing and Sales efforts at Trillbit Inc. in Boston, MA. Trillbit has developed a cutting-edge data communication protocol using near ultrasound technology for IoT and authentication applications. With a career spanning multiple industries, Benno has led product marketing and business development efforts for online authentication, IoT systems, access management, and wireless communications, utilizing technologies such as IEEE802.11/802.15.4, ultrasound, data analytics, artificial intelligence, big data, and machine learning. At Keurig, he spearheaded technology partnerships and collaborated with the Microsoft Azure Leadership team for a novel connected brewer product line. He has a wealth of experience in standardization efforts, including introducing Zigbee technology to IEEE and founding the ZigBee Alliance. He has also initiated and led the development efforts for six new Zigbee standards and worked towards standard-wide interoperability as seen in today's Matter standard. Benno holds an MSc in Physics from the University of Hamburg and an MBA from San Jose State University. He is an active member of several industry and non-profit organizations. Benno currently resides in the South of Munich, at Starnberg Lake, and enjoys hiking, skiing, astrophotography, and spending time with his family.
