What you need to succeed:

We are seeking a proactive, experienced, and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Sales and Event Manager. This dual-role position is crucial for our growth, combining the strategic development and execution of sales activities with the professional planning and management of our international events. The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented self-starter with a passion for technology, excellent organizational skills, and a proven track record in both B2B sales and event management.

What you'll do:

Sales and Business Development:

  • Lead Generation & Sales: Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities, sponsors, exhibitors, and partners for Wearable Technologies' events.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing. Maintain and nurture a strong sales pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and potential clients within the global wearable technology ecosystem.
  • Strategy & Reporting: Contribute to sales strategies, forecasting, and regular reporting on sales performance and market trends.

Event Management & Execution:

  • Planning & Logistics: Be part of the planning, coordination, and execution of Wearable Technologies' global events (in the EU, US, and Asia). This includes venue selection, vendor management, logistics, and on-site management.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional strategies to drive delegate attendance and exhibitor participation.
  • Content Curation: Assist in the scouting and recruitment of high-class speakers and contribute to agenda development.
  • Post-Event Analysis: Conduct post-event evaluations, collect feedback, and prepare reports on event success metrics.

Required qualifications & experience:

  • Experience: Approximately 5 years of professional experience in a combination of B2B Sales, Business Development, and/or Event Management, preferably within the wearable technology or conference industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential for engaging with our international clientele and managing global events. German language skills are a plus for interaction with local partners and administrative tasks.
  • Tech Savvy: Strong understanding or keen interest in emerging technologies, especially the wearable technology market (AR/VR, digital health, biosensing, etc.).
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
    • Proficiency with CRM software (HubSpot), Design Tools (Photoshop, Figma, etc.), and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
