The European Wound Management Association is an independent, non-profit, multidisciplinary organisation founded in 1991 to advance education and research in the prevention and management of wounds of all aetiologies. As an umbrella organisation, it links more than 50 national wound management associations across Europe and partners with wound care organisations worldwide, bringing together nurses, physicians, researchers, and other healthcare professionals. Through its annual conference, educational programmes, evidence-based documents, the Journal of Wound Management and engagement with European policymakers, the European Wound Management Association works to close the gap between evidence and practice and to improve the delivery of wound care for patients across Europe.
