Abbott has signed a partnership deal with Omada Health to integrate its FreeStyle Libre system with Omada Health's pioneering digital care program. Freestyle Libre is Abbott’s revolutionary continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) technology. With this partnership the companies aim to create a new paradigm for people with Type 2 diabetes. The integrated solution with Omada will provide real-time glucose data and actionable information for participants to better manage their diabetes and guide personalized recommendations from their coaches, says a press release.
Eligible users with Type 2 diabetes will have the choice to integrate data from their FreeStyle Libre, including glucose reading, trends and patterns, with Omada’s platform. Following enrollment into the program, users can access a virtual physician, who can prescribe them the CGM.
